It is the very real circle of life and it begins when we are children, in our imaginations, which we then take and turn into our life and use to take care of our children, and the cycle continues.
Reading and continuing to learn, will only serve your life for the better. There is always more to know, a wider perspective to see. Each of these books has given me information to consider and implement. That doesn’t mean they 100% align with my beliefs all of the time, but learning always helps you to grow, and the best parents are always growing!
I watched this AGT audition and immediately went to my computer and wrote this poem. The way he was bullied and torn down by others really hit me. It’s sadly not a unique story. We, humans, are sometimes just not very nice to each other.
As soon as she was placed, shaking and scared in our car, the kids began talking about adopting her, but I made it clear upfront. That was NOT going to happen. Well, it seemed other plans were in the works. Two weeks turned into two months. Each appointment they told us she needed more time. And everyone was a little relieved, especially Avonlea, with who she had formed some incredible bond–seldom leaving her side when it wasn’t yet time for her to leave.

When I was broken, I was bitter, angry, resentful, and completely closed off. After feeling the pain of brokenness, I simply can’t believe that is what God wants of me. Yes, he wants us to be better, but not by tearing us down. Yes, life will sometimes tear us down. God is the one who stands waiting to lift us back up.
As girls mature they quiet their voices. This is a call to use your voice. It is needed. It is wanted. It makes the world a richer place!
