Ingredients
Method
Dough
- Combine lemon with milk and let sit.
- In a stand mixer, combine all the wet ingredients, including the lemon and milk.
- Add all of the dry ingredients on top of the wet ingredients in your stand mixer.
- Using the dough hook of your stand mixer, and on a low setting, allow the dough to mix. While the dough mixes, prepare your filling.
Filling
- Combine all the ingredients for your filling
Creating Rolls
- Once the dough is thoroughly combined, turn off the stand mixer and allow it to rest for a few minutes while you clean up and finish filling.
- Thoroughly clean counters and sprinkle with flour.
- Roll the dough out on the countertop, using sufficient flour so that the dough does not stick to the countertop, until is approximately 1/4" thick.
- Cover the entirety of the dough with your filling.
- Beginning with the side closest to you, roll the dough into a log.
- With a sharp knife (you might need to sharpen the one you have), cut the roll of dough in equal parts, approximately 1 1/2" thick to make approximately 24 sections.
- Equally distribute the sections between the two pans.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 18-20 minutes or until the dough is just beginning to brown.
Frosting
- While the cinnamon rolls are cooking, combine all the ingredients of the frosting and thoroughly blend with a hand mixer.
- Remove the cinnamon rolls from the oven and let them sit for 5-10 minutes.
Time to Eat
- After they have cooled for a short amount of time, spread the frosting evenly over all the rolls.
- Serve and enjoy.
